Inge Rylant is an illustrator and print designer from Belgium. She currently lives and works part-time in Japan. Over the years she has developed a distinct visual language rooted in abstraction and colour field painting.

Her work is characterised by clean, precisely constructed digital drawings that shift between abstraction and figuration. Although she works digitally, the final result is always physical, appearing in print magazines, on textiles, or in artist books she prints by hand. This translation from digital to analogue plays a central role in her work, bridging structured design with tactile materiality. Inge’s use of colour is central. Not to describe reality, but to create a visual playfulness that feels both liberating and personal. Each project has allowed her to explore different facets of illustration, always with the goal of creating vibrant, joyful designs that resonate with a wide audience.
